This is a re-post. Truely one of my favourite bands and here is all the stuff i found of them for so far. The Pine is from Bakersfield, CA and play some truly righteous emotional music in the vein of Evergreen. They broke up, but 3/4th of the band are playing together again in their new band Reaching Away. Make sure you download both bands if you dont have them yet!

emiLy - Finer Time (Rent To Own, 1993)

emiLy is a now defunct emo band from South Bend, Indiana. The band was made up of three Notre Dame students: Joe Cannon, Doug McEachern and Mike Larmoyeux. They played together from February 1993 until June 1996. They were influenced by bands such as Fugazi, Slint, and Drive Like Jehu. In addition to this 7'', they had five more releases which included another 7'', three cassettes, and one CD. This is one of my favorite records and has been for quite some time... I was so excited when I stumbled across this at Cheapo.

Unionsuit - Accidents Happened (Second Nature. 1997)

"Unionsuit was a somewhat functional group, from roughly the Winter of 1996 through Spring of 1998. The core members were Michael Poorman (drums - Age of Reason, Hot Rod Circuit, etc), Aaron Turner (guitar - Isis, Old Man Gloom, Lotus Eaters, etc), and Matt Firestone (vocals - Yarn Spinner, Fireman, Earth Crisis roadie, and Punisher of Haunted Cars). There were various bass players along the way (including Josh English of Six Going on Seven, and briefly Cast Iron Hike), but none of them ultimately stayed the course for the life span of the band, brief though it was. Also occasional vocal and performance appearances were made by Chris Mereschuck, previously of Age of Reason and later on of Isis, though in these appearances Mereschuck was often unrecognizably costumed.

A 5 song demo was recorded by Brian McTernan in 1996 and included a guest vocal spot by super hero Jacob Bannon (Converge). This was technically a Hydra Head release, but of the various different versions “released” (3 covers in all, totaling about 600-700 copies) many were done by the band themselves in small batches. The following year Unionsuit recorded (again with McTernan) a 3 song 7” entitled “Accidents Happened, which proved to be the bands final recording. This 7” was released in an edition of 1000 copies courtesy of the Second Nature Recordings company, 100 or so of which were pressed on white vinyl.

In the short lifetime of the band the borders of New England were rarely breached - most performances took place in and around Boston as well as a select few further away, including Montreal, Providence, etc. With opportunities to open for bands Like Kiss It Goodbye, Converge, Overcast, maybe Cave In And Piebald, Unionsuit usually did little more in the live setting than embarrass themselves, but had a good time none the less. The band’s final show took place at some festival in Northampton with little notice from anyone, though Unionsuit’s two biggest supporters Mark Thompson and Dan Askew feigned slight disappointment when news of the event reached their ears. To this day Mark Thompson still claims he wants to release a Unionsuit discography, but the surviving members of the band refuse to let him sully his good name with their less the sterling reputation by having their shoddy musicianship more permanently documented and disseminated. After breaking up the members quickly moved on to other projects (Isis, Hot Rod Circuit, etc.) or became male models and international drug smugglers."

Fieldtree - Fleas In His Collar (Winter Records, 1995)

Wow, I'm on a roll! Fieldtree was an emo band active in the mid/late 90’s from Detroit, Michigan. In addition to this 7'', they released a self-titled 7’’ on Lonely Kids Records and a split 7’’ with Corel on Schoolcraft Records. They were also featured on the Longbow Project 12’’ compilation with bands such as The Roman Invasion Suite, Wallside & Jihad. One of my favorite records... enjoy!

Haskel/Temper Tantrum Split (Wooden Blue Records, 1994)

This 7'' was released in 1994 by Wooden Blue Records. Wooden Blue Records is best known for releasing Jimmy Eat World's first LP in 1994. They also released material from Christie Front Drive.

Haskel was a punk band from Arizona. The band was: Ed, Jay, Dave and Dave.

Temper Tantrum was a punk band from Arizona. The band was: Matt, Tim, amd Jeff.

Both of these bands were also featured on the Wooden Blue Records compilation entitled 'Back From The Dead Motherfucker', which I may upload later.

Dirt Don't Hurt - First Hand (Moonshine Records, 1992)

Dirt Don't Hurt was an emo band from Washington, DC. They released this 7'' in 1992 on Moonshine Records and was their only release, as far as I know.

Moxa - Self-Titled (Amendment Records, 1995)

I really have no info on Moxa other than they were from Virginia. I've had this record for quite awhile but was too lazy to rip and upload it but I'm getting it to you now, so enjoy!

Attention: Some people have been scrobbling one of the songs on the record as "Love" but this is incorrect... the track is actually called "What's What". The Side A of this records is called "Love" and the Side B is called "Destruction"... The tracks actually have different names. Just thought you guys would like to know.

Table - Self-Titled (Spangled Records, 1992)

"Table were an early 90’s noise rock band from Chicago, IL. They only ever released two 7”s before they disbanded, the first one was the Gag Box / Unwind single, recorded by Steve Albini, and released on the band’s own label, Spangled. Their 2nd 7”, “Spindrift” b/w “Vacuum”, recorded by Brad Wood, and released on Homestead Records mid 1993. A CD posthumous compilation of all of the recorded Table material (8 songs, featuring all 4 songs from the 2 singles + 4 other songs) was released back in 1995 on Humble Records, a California label run by the guys that did “Bobby Is Fred” fanzine. They had some other songs that were not included on the CD (which was released after they broke up), one of these songs, M.E.G.O. was performed during a live in-studio performance on WNUR, on Saturday, May 23rd, 1992. The members of Table, Tim Stevens, (drummer / lyric writer) is now the drummer for Ancient Greeks. Warren Fischer, (bass player / sometimes singer) is 1/2 of the group Fischerspooner. Vito Greco, (singer / guitarist) is currently not in a band."

Kojak - Self-Titled (Hit The Ground Running, 1997)

Oh, hi there. It's been awhile. I have a bunch of records to rip and this is number one on the list. I don't have much info on this band besides what was given on their Myspace page. They released this 7'' on Hit The Ground Running Records in 1997... They also released a CD in 2000 called ''Crash Motherfucker'' on Chaotic Noise Productions.

"Kojak began in Roanoke, VA with Jason (bass, vocals), Bill (bass, vocals), and George (drums) in 1996. Jason moved to Richmond,VA in 1997, taking with him the name. The line-up in Richmond was Jason (bass, vocals), Barry (drums) and Adam (guitar,vocals) up until 2000, when Adam left, and John moved in on guitar. The three trudged on until deciding to call it quits in 2003. Bill went on to do Atomatron (later called Hallelujah!) in 2001 after moving to Richmond himself and doing a brief stint across the country as Kojak's roadie. George went on to live in a double-wide trailer somewhere in southwest Virginia. Adam went on to do Stop It!, among other things. Jason and Barry joined forces with Chris and started The Amoeba Men. John went on to join The Bunny Rabbits. All's well that ends well. check CNP's catalog for Kojak releases. The song "Crackhead Messiah" is the Roanoke line-up from a 7" released on "Hit The Ground Running" Records (1997).I'm not sure if the label still exists, but if you can find Seph Woodard, I'm pretty sure he still has a bunch."
