Cowboys Became Folk Heroes was an act from Lakeland, Florida. They played emo violence with some post-rock inserted here and there. They never actually broke up and they are still on indefinite hiatus. Members went on to form or join bands such as Now It's Overhead, Summerbirds In The Cellar, The Deep And Holy Sea, Seven White Cats and finally Sweet Skin.
